Create Random Teams

Useful for quick group assignments

Create teams for sports practices, party and board games, classroom activities, workshops, and other group events. Names stay in your browser while you build the event.

Create teams in three steps

  1. Choose the number of teams. Select from 2 teams up to the smaller of 10 or your participant count.
  2. Add every participant. Type names or import a local TXT or CSV file.
  3. Reveal the assignments. Spin manually or automatically, then review the completed groups by team.

Balanced by participant count

Every participant is assigned exactly once. Destinations rotate from Team 1 through the final team and then repeat, so team sizes differ by no more than one person. When the total does not divide evenly, the first teams in that rotation receive one extra participant.
